Bridgers Blessing and Casts

This was our sweet little Bridger on Easter Sunday, the day we blessed him, as you can see he is getting bigger all the time and his hair is getting longer, but it still stands straight up! Oh and he is smilling a ton now so when I have more time I will put a video on of him smiling!

Easter Sunday before the blessing!

This is what we have been doing for the last six weeks. Every Thursday we go to Primary Childrens and Bridger gets a new set of casts. It has been kinda rough, but every week they are able to straighten his feet out just a little bit more. This is the first set of casts he got put on when he was only 2.5 weeks old. Last week they cut his achilles tendon and then put another set of casts on. We have to go next thursday and that should be the lasts set of casts he has to have YEAH!! He will have those casts on for 2 weeks instead of just 1 and then we will go back up and he will get fitted for the brace that he has to wear for the next 3 months.

This one shows how they have to cut the casts off, and beleive it or not he really dosn't mind this part. In fact he just sucks on his binki and waits for them to be done. Even though he dosn't seem to mind we will be so thankful when he dosn't have to go through this anymore.

This shows them putting the new casts on. He really does pretty good for this part too. They have us give him a bottle while they do it so most of the time he is pretty happy because he is getting fed.

We took this picture two weeks ago and you can see that they are so much straighter then they were when he was born. They over correct them and move them all the way out so the last set of casts he will have will be completely the opposite of they way they were.

This is today with him snuggling grandpa. He really is a good little guy and he has been pretty tough through this whole thing. It has been kinda like having a new baby every week because everytime he gets a new set of casts we have to figure out how to get him comfortable when we hold him and how to lay him so he can sleep. But I am so thankful that we are able to correct his little feet so that he will be able to run and play with Cason like nothing was wrong.
They said that developmentally leaning to crawl and walk that he shouldnt be behind at all because we have been able to take care of it so early, and the best part is that he wont remember any of this. We have had tons of help from both of our families and are so thankful to them and for the gospel in our lives!

Oh and in other news Paul graduates on Saturday. I am so proud of him for finishing his last semester of school while dealing with everything else that has been going on with our little family. He starts fighting fire with Zion Helitack May 11th and is excited to get back to working. Love you bud, Congrats on Graduating! And Happy Anniversary! we spent out 4 year anniversary at Primary Children's with Bridger so we didnt get to do much but it has been a great and crazy 4 years and I wouldnt change a second of it! I love all my boys so much!
